While only one major battle occurred in Pennsylvania, the Civil War affected everyone living in the Commonwealth in some way. In this workshop, we will showcase resources for teaching about the Civil War and how to use them to meet Common Core Standards for improving literacy from informational texts. Includes free resources, refreshments, and a viewing of Civil War documents from HSP’s collection.
