Tigermilk to GiggleJuice: A History of Prohibition Cocktails (SOLD OUT)

Join the Young Friends of HSP on February 22, 2018 for a Prohibition Cocktail class hosted by our friends at the Alchemist Society! When the 18th amendment made alcohol illegal, producers and purveyors had to get creative with the cocktail mixing, creating a path for some of the most iconic cocktails still popular today. Learn about the history of prohibition spirits and the cocktails that flowed freely behind closed doors. Get hands-on and create your own speakeasy cocktail while breaking down the base spirits and learning about the mixes that help craft these delightful libations.

In between mixing up libations, guests will enjoy a special one-night only pop-up display of items from HSP’s collection related to America’s prohibition period.

Tickets are $35 and includes all materials necessary to create your drinks for the evening and impress your friends at you next cocktail party! Light hors d’oeuvres will be provided. All funds raised directly benefit HSP’s Adopt-a-Collection program!

Thank you the Alchemist Society & Eight Oaks Distillers:

Alchemist Society has created a space and team that focuses on local libations and education around beer and spirits. In addition to, on location events, we have just opened our brand new educational space in Northern Liberties.
