Displays and Tours

If you have ever wondered what fascinating things might be hidden behind the scenes at HSP, now is your chance to find out. Our librarians and archivists will open our cabinets and drawers to show you the amazing, the spectacular, and the downright unusual items in our collections. Guests will have the unique opportunity to get a first-hand look at these treasures.

  • Behind the Scenes Tour (up to 5 people): Guests are taken on a tour of HSP and the storage vaults, where the most treasured items in the collection are available for viewing. Senior Director of the Library Lee Arnold will accompany the tour, discussing our collections, the history of HSP, the library, and its services.
  • Document Show & Tell (up to 25 people): Our librarians and archivists will display a selection of historic documents from the collection on a topic of your choice. Discussion of the materials will follow, with HSP staff available to answer your questions.
