We welcome classes and individual student researchers. Sixth through 12th graders visit for free, and classes may pre-register for a group tour and orientation. On Wednesday evenings during the school year, Student Mentors are available to work with students on their history projects.

Education programs are guided by a board of advisors. Made up of teachers and curriculum specialists, the board meets three-four times a year to review ideas and plans for new programs and materials. |

The Historical Society of Pennsylvania publishes two journals that may be of interest to teachers: the more scholarly Pennsylvania Magazine of History and Biography and the more popular Pennsylvania Legacies. The latter even features special sections for teachers.Teachers and schools can purchase subscriptions in hard copy or on online. |
