Stories From the Archives: The Countess of Pembroke and Geomancy

Project Archivist Sarah Newhouse discusses the book The English Countess Mary of Pembroke's Rare Secrets of the Wonderful Art of Geomancy from the Abraham H. Cassell collection. Geomancy is a form of divination that analyzes the pattern of a handful of earth thrown down at random or dots made at random on paper. Stories From the Archives is a video series in which an HSP staff member highlights one of his or her favorite items from the collection.
