On Thursday, May 17, 2012 the Historical Society of Pennsylvania (HSP) will honor two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning author David McCullough at its annual fundraising event, the Founder’s Award Dinner. This year’s theme, “Philadelphie à Paris: Une fête historique,” is inspired by Mr. McCullough’s new book The Greater Journey: Americans in Paris which tells the story of America’s longstanding love affair with Paris. HSP will also honor Collin F. McNeil with the Heritage Award for his decades of support and for his leadership as former HSP Chairman of the Board. The event will be held at the National Museum of American Jewish History with a cocktail reception beginning at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and awards at 7:30 p.m. and a silent auction. If you would like to receive an invitation or have any questions, please contact Emilie Kretschmar at 215-732-6200 ext. 300 or ekretschmar@hsp.org.
