The Plumstead Historical Society was founded in 1999 with the mission to discover, collect, observe, advance, and disseminate knowledge of the history of Plumstead Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The Society's holdings, which consist of approximately 10 linear feet of materials dating from 1809 to the present, include primary source documents such as school records, deeds, correspondence, business ledgers, and oral histories. There are also secondary source materials including newspaper clippings, photocopies of original documents, narrative histories, and printed materials. A large portion of the Society's collections is school records, mostly school attendance registers, with some supporting documents from the Plumstead Township School Board and its successor, the Central Bucks Joint School Board.
