On Thursday, October 16, 2014, the Young Friends of HSP hosted a 'Staches and Spirits party at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania. Celebrating all things hair, guests posed with George Washington, enjoyed a whiskey tasting fromWhistlePig Straight Rye Whiskey, checked out hairstyles through history in a pop up document display, and participated in a mustache and hair-do contest judged by the Philadelphia Beard and Mustache Club. Three raffle winners will enjoy items from local businesses, fellow non-profit arts and culture organizations. The event raised over $1,850 to benefit HSP's Adopt a Collection program.
