Stories from the Archives: Images of Historic Germantown

Germantown was founded in 1681 by Frances Daniel Pastorius, and was incorporated into the city of Philadelphia in 1854. Digital Project Manager and Researcher, Dana Dorman, discusses images of historic Germantown, from the Thomas H. Shoemaker Germantown and Philadelphia portrait and views collection. These images are unique in the sense that they give us a glimpse of what the enitre neighborhood looked like over 100 years ago.
