Settlers of America Game Scenarios for Education

These five word documents make up the four scenarios and a list of core standards to use an example of using the scenarios for teaching in a lesson or unit plan.  The scenarios go with the game Settlers of America: Trails to Rails and match up with primary sources from the Historical Society of Pennsylvania.

The four scenarios explore issues of labor relations, the long depression of 1873-1879, western expansion and corporate abuse.  These scenarios were created by Matt Shoemaker and presented at the Gencon Trade Day conference August 15, 2012.  The powerpoint for this presentation can be downloaded here.
