Since graduating from Swarthmore College with a Bachelor of Arts in History in June 2014, I have found a family in Philadelphia's vibrant historic community while working at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania.
As you can tell from my blog series "A Philly Foodie Explores Local History," I have an intense interest in food, much of which comes from my family's background in agriculture and a personal love of cooking and good eats. At Swarthmore, I explored my overlapping interests in agriculture, food, and history through a Senior Research Project about Pennsylvania county fairs at the turn of the 20th century.
