HSP director of research, David Haugaard, (almost literally) wrote the book on Colonial Pennsylvania legislators (serving for many years as one of that project’s editors).  David will explain the various Colonial-era records at HSP and how they can aid you in your family history research.

During Family History Month, staff will introduce the vast collection of genealogical resources available both on-site and online through a special Genealogy 101 lecture series on October 7, 9, 14, and 16. Attendees will receive a free pass to the library to do their own research. Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania (GSP) volunteers will be available to provide personal assistance on the same dates as the workshops. Purchase the entire series here and attend the final workshop for free!
