Newspaper Holdings at Area Small Repositories

The Hidden Collections Initiative for Pennsylvania Small Archival Repositories (HCI-PSAR), a project of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania with funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, is uncovering the hundreds of hidden collections held by the many small archival repositories in the five-county Philadelphia area. A significant number of repositories' collections include runs of local newspapers, which often serve as important resources for researchers.

The following is a summary, non-comprehensive listing of newspapers held at repositories that have participated in the HCI-PSAR project. The titles that are included are only local newspapers with a run of at least 5 years.

For more information about a newspaper listed below, please contact the repository directly. More newspapers will be added to this list on an ongoing basis as the HCI-PSAR project continues.
