Lewis & Clark Trail Heritage Foundation records

The Lewis & Clark Trail Heritage Foundation (LCTHF) was founded in 1969 in order to preserve, promote, and teach the history of the 1803-1806 Lewis and Clark expedition across the western United States.  The Philadelphia chapter of LCTHF was founded in 1974 and is dedicated to educating the public Lewis and Clark expedition as it relates to the Philadelphia region.

The LCTHF, Philadelphia chapter records are comprised of administrative records, meeting minutes, and planning documents relating to "The Quest for Knowledge: Lewis in Philadelphia," a bicentennial celebration of the expedition that was held in Philadelphia in 2003.  The collection also contains correspondence, meeting minutes, financial records, reports, notes, clippings and other printed materials, photographs (prints, negatives, and slides), teaching materials, maps, and other items.

Good news! This collection has been partially adopted. Your donation of all or some of the remaining $1,450 will enable us to preserve, organize, and catalog this collection. Please note, this collection will not be processed until the full amount is received.
