Pal comes from a family of potters in a traditional potters’ village. He apprenticed at the Craft Council of West Bengal before showcasing his work around India, and he has won a number of awards, including:

• Best India Potters Award from Ulsan International Onaggi Competition
• Best Terracotta Designer in India from the British Museum

Pal has also been commissioned to send 50,000 teacups to Korea for an Earthenware event.

Bina Dey, embroiderer
Dey trained at the Craft Council of West Bengal and has been doing Kantha embroidery for almost 20 years. Her work has been shown across the world, including:

• Delhi
