Trying to prove that your ancestor was a Civil War hero (or at least not a deserter)?  Attend this session by Dr. Daniel Rolph, HSP’s head of reference and historian.  Dr. Dan is a Civil War expert and author.  He will guide you through HSP’s extensive Civil War resources as well as give you help with other military records at HSP.

During Family History Month, staff will introduce the vast collection of genealogical resources available both on-site and online through a special Genealogy 101 lecture series on October 7, 9, 14, and 16. Attendees will receive a free pass to the library to do their own research. Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania (GSP) volunteers will be available to provide personal assistance on the same dates as the workshops.
