Sally Flaherty talks about how Preserving American Freedom fulfills Pennsylvania and Common Core standards.

Sally Flaherty is the Social Studies Curriculum Advisor and Director of Curriculum  for the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Bureau of Teaching and Learning, Division of Curriculum. Sally advises the 500 school districts in Pennsylvania in the content areas of Civics and Government; Economics; Geography, and History.She designs and implements professional development opportunities for educators to incorporate the Pennsylvania Common Core Standards in the Social Studies content areas.As a curriculum specialist, Sally will be assisting participants at THRIFT to create materials for use in classrooms and for publication in the Standards Aligned System www.pdesas.org Sally’s career spans 35 years working with administration, faculty, staff and students across the Commonwealth.
