Foundations of Genealogy I

Wednesdays,* September 25–November 13, 1:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m.

In this 8-week course for beginning and experienced family historians, discover effective research methods, learn how to understand different types of historical documents, and find online resources to uncover your family story.
*Class will be held on Tuesday, October 8, not Wednesday, October 9.

Genealogy Website Workshop

Tuesdays, October 22–November 19, 1:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m.
$225 for Friends of HSP; $275 for General Admission

In this hands-on workshop we will explore Ancestry.com, FamilySearch.org, FindMyPast, and more, to make sure you’re using all the software applications these resorces offer. You’ll discover new search strategies and techniques for the major genealogy websites.

Foundations of Genealogy II

Wednesdays,* February 26–April 22, 1:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m.
$275 for Friends of HSP, $325 for General Admission

Develop and strengthen your genealogy skills in this hands-on, in-depth course. Practicum sessions are also included in the class, so you can test your newly-acquired research skills by creating an action plan for a research problem.
*No class will be held on Wednesday, March 25.

$100 per hour-long consult
