Rights and Reproductions at HSP
It is great to be back at HSP, this time in a more formal role as Rights and Reproductions Coordinator. I oversee all the requests for images for use in research, publications, and exhibitions. While a lot of paperwork is involved in the process, there are some tasks that have taught me more about HSP and its holdings. Wednesday, 2/9/11 12:53 pm

Looking Back, Fondly: My Summer Internship at HSP
When deciding what to do for coursework this summer at Drexel University (I am a library and information science graduate student), I decided that I wanted to complete a practicum in an archival setting. It seemed like few places were hiring, and I was worried that I would not find a practicum site before classes began. However, I found the Summer Archives Intern posting on HSP’s website, right before the application due date. Just days later, Cary Majewicz and Matthew Lyons were interviewing me, and a few days after that, I was offered the position. Friday, 9/3/10 7:47 am

Robert Proud: Quaker, Classicist, Historian, and Loyalist
I never thought that when working as an Archives Intern at HSP I would come across a collection that had some personal resonance. But when handed the Robert Proud collection to process, I learned that history can connect to one’s life in bizarre ways.
