New resources for teaching politics and history

2012-02-17 18:17

Do you teach political science?  History of the Progressive era?  HSP has two great new resources for you!

This fall we dedicated an issue of Pennsylvania Legacies to political reform.  In this issue not only will you find fascinating articles about reforms in the Commonwealth from 1890 through 1950 but also ideas on how to use the publication in teaching.

Ben Danson, a teacher in the Media-Rosetree School District who wrote that section, will share his ideas for how to build a lesson on the subject around primary source documents from HSP's collection at a teacher workshop on Wednesday, February 29.  Teachers will receive copies of those documents for classroom use.
