Join WHYY, PlanPhilly, and HSP for a peak into Philadelphia’s past and a look forward into the future.

Guess the dates and location of historic Philadelphia photographs — many not seen by the public for decades! Then, learn about HSP’s current initiatives to preserve the past by watching their work as featured on the PBS documentary series, Visionaries. Finally, attendees will have an opportunity to ask HSP staff and other local historians about the ways in which the past impacts our present and future, as well as what special collection libraries are doing to bring the past to life in an increasingly all-digital world.

A panel discussion hosted by Ashley Hahn, Interim Managing Editor of PlanPhilly, will follow the screening, featuring:

  • George Boudreau, Assistant Professor of History at La Salle University
  • Bill Mosher, Creator, Director, and Producer of Visionaries
  • Patrick Grossi, Director of Advocacy for the Preservation Alliance of Greater Philadelphi
  • Page Talbott, President & CEO of HSP

The screening and panel discussion will be held at WHYY's studio in Old City. For parking information, please click here.
