In partnership with the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, this teacher workshop uncovers the Philadelphia monuments of the past and questions what makes a monument in the 21^st century.  The workshop begins at HSP to see primary sources about monuments of past centuries. After a walking tour of some monuments in Center City, the workshop reconvenes at PAFA, situated as the central hub for the Mural Arts Monuments Lab project.  Teachers will participate in a workshop to develop classroom projects that encourage civic engagement and student leadership.
