On July 7th from 9 am – noon, HSP is hosting its next professional development opportunity where we will investigate economic history along with the effects of technology. Today, many students lack valuable knowledge of our nation's economic history or even how to handle their personal finances. We hope this teacher workshop will provide prime examples that will close that gap by integrating interdiciplinary financial literacy/economic lessons into any classroom curriculum.

Do not miss out on this teacher workshop that incorporates new ways to teach Westward expansion, the Revolutionary War, financial literacy, and so much more! Act 48 credit is available for PA teachers, and all attendees will receive ready-made lesson plans, a new westward expansion game, unique primary sources from HSP’s collections, and a free lunch. 

The morning is capped off with an opportunity to meet and talk with Keynote Speaker Hilary Hunt, an independent consultant and expert on teaching financial literacy.
