A Shaken and Stirred Evening: How the American Cocktail Went Global

On September 27, 2012, the Young Friends of HSP hosted "A Shaken and Stirred Evening: How the American Cocktail Went Global". 90 guests attended the event, which featured a presentation on the history of the American cocktail by author and food historian Joseph Carlin. Guests mingled with cocktails in the Reference room and viewed a display of alcohol-related documents in the Reference room. El Vez, Absolute Art, and Modern Eye donated items that were raffled off at the end of the night.
