WW II letters and pictures and othr memorablia
I have a lot of the letters that my father wrote to my mom during WW II. There are also some he wrote to his family. I also have a lot of pictures from the war. Also have many other memorabilia. I can't even begin to list all I have. He served in the 814th Tank Destroyer Battalion in the 7th Armored Division. My dad served from May16, 1942 - after the war ended. Do you accept such items for your collection?

How interesting! We certainly might accept them as long as the fall within our collecting scope. You can learn more about that on our site here: http://hsp.org/collections/about-our-collections/collection-scope.
And if you would, in fact, like to donate your collection, this document will tell you how to go about that, and it contains information on who to contact if you have any questions: http://hsp.org/collections/about-our-collections/how-to-donate-your-mate...
Generally speaking, we collect paper-based materials -- letters, photographs, books, newspapers, etc. We don't normally take in artifacts and physical memorabilia, but exceptions can be made depending on the collection. It's best to contact us first to discuss the nature of a collection before making a donation.
