Students grades 6 to 12 may now research for free at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania. They simply need to show their student ID to get this benefit. We are open after school – until 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and until 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
In addition, on Wednesdays, we have Student Mentors available from 4:30-8:30 p.m. this fall to assist students with their research. These volunteers help students search for and interpret primary sources and, this spring, can also review writing for Natonal History Day and other Social Studies research papers.
The Historical Society welcomes students who are researching for their National History Day projects. For more information about this research-based history competition, click here.
