Library card catalogs have become an analog elephant in the digital room. Once the preeminent form of bibliographic record keeping, card catalogs have now become more of an artifact than an effective resource for researchers – especially those online.

Print is dead, or so drone digital media's arrivistes. This may come as a shock to Philadelphia's The Print Center as it celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, making it one of the oldest organizations dedicated to graphic arts in the United States.

With only a small percentage of its collection digitized and made available online, HSP has embarked on new collaborations to make its collections more accessible to researchers across the country and around the world.
